A Thought ago

A thought ago i was there, so i think i should be, it is this a-thought-ago's continuity of existence that bestows upon me the being, that i have been and have been having

  1. This is a tough one to understand. Here I am posting my discussion with the author of the above thought for better understanding -

    Chinmay: मूळ कल्पना अशी होती की (१६ वे शतक) I think therefore I am

    me: ok

    me: ok

    correct

    6:01 PM
    me: agreed

    me: ok
    6:02 PM
Chinmay: so Existence precedes essence, and essence follows existence

    me: ok
    6:03 PM

    me: kaalateet ani kshanamaya

he donhi ekach veli kasa kay

    Chinmay: काळातील not कालातीत
    6:05 PM
    me: ok

    correct

    haan

    now i understand

    6:06 PM
    me: आम्

    6:08 PM
सत्त्व is some thing that is felt in सत्

    me: ok
    6:09 PM
Chinmay: true "सत्त्व is some thing that is felt in सत्"...it is its continuity in time that makes सत्त्व realizable

    me: ok
    6:10 PM
    correct

Chinmay: सत्‌ in a present moment means nothing if it does not acknowledge its' continuity in past
    6:11 PM
    me: ok

Chinmay: Be ware this is नास्तिक!

    me: ok
    6:12 PM
    Chinmay: for आस्तिकs सत्त्व pregiven

    essence has to precede

    for आस्तिकs

    me: ok
    6:13 PM
what i could independently think on this issue is that

सत् may be the object and सत्त्व is the experience of it

    Chinmay: true
    6:14 PM
me: so सत् is there and सत्त्व comes into existence when one starts experiencing it

    Chinmay: true
    6:15 PM
    me: fine
